GT 1030 Graphics Card also comes with DDR4

  • Thinking about buying an entry-level graphics card in hopes of playing a game today? Beware, instead of buying a 1030 GDDR5 GT, you can get stuck with Nvidia who includes the DDR4 variant from GT 1030!

Nvidia is well known as a manufacturer that provides a variety of graphics card lines, from the GT line at affordable prices to the GTX line for gamers, Nvidia always presents a variety of superior products for consumers.

Sometimes, Nvidia often makes a number of mistakes and controversies, starting with the GTX 970 with VRAM that seems awkward to Nvidia Partnership that burdens both manufacturers and consumers. This problem continues towards the latest case which is currently being discussed.

This bad news comes from one of the cheap graphics card that are very popular among the budget PC, GT 1030. If previously we only found GT 1030 GDDR5, prospective buyers must be extra careful because Nvidia began supplying the GT 1030 DDR4!

As we know, the GT 1030 is the cheapest GDDR5 graphics card with performance that is almost equivalent to the GTX 750Ti. With affordable prices, this is a very attractive offer. However, is the offer still interesting if you accidentally get the DDR4 variant?

The difference between the GDDR5 variant and DDR4 is very obvious, especially in the gaming performance displayed. DDR4 variants are reported to only get half or even lower yields than the GDDR5 variant, which is of course very worrying.

For a clearer comparison, Battlefield 1 with low settings will get an average result of 61fps for the GDDR5 version, and DDR4 will only get 28fps on average. Other results were recorded in Fortnite medium settings with 66fps for GDDR5 and 38fps for DDR4.
