  • When the New York Giants had won their two most current Super Bowls, the offensive line became a key on their behalf, as was the running game.

    Over of late, the two things have been a weakness with the Giants. But general manager Dave Gettleman took great strides in addressing both this offseason, signing Nate Solder and Patrick Omameh in free agency and selecting Saquon Barkley and Will Hernandez inside the first two rounds from the 2018 NFL Draft.

    Shaun O’Hara, who won Super Bowl XLII and would be a former captain on the Giants, likes the look with the offense heading into 2018.

    “I think this offense look totally different,” O’Hara told Giants.com. “I think the run game may well be more assertive, more aggressive plus much more consistent. That will help any quarterback out. But I really think the mindset that you could see on the signings and also the draft, they’re usually more physical. If you would like to win this division, you ought to be physical.”

    David Diehl, who had previously been on both Super Bowl teams (XLII and XLVI), loves incorporating Solder for the offensive line and feels that it would be a trend-setting move.
