Millions cheap fifa 15 coins of taxpayer

  • Millions cheap fifa 15 coins of taxpayer dollars have been forked out to host the Fifa U-20 World Cup but officials are remaining tight-lipped on how the tournament will benefit the New Zealand economy, with Wellington City Council refusing to divulge how much ratepayer cash it chipped in.

Deputy mayor of Wellington Justin Lester said ratepayers did not have the right to access the commercially sensitive information, but said it was in the vicinity of what Hamilton City Council had spent.

Last week Hamilton Mayor Julie Hardaker said her council and local businesses expected to have spent about $720,000 on the event.

Deputy mayor of Wellington Justin Lester will not reveal how much ratepayers have paid towards the Fifa U20 World Cup.

The Wellington cash injection for the tournament  www.fifachampion.com came from $3.5m set aside in an economic development fund, which was divided between various events in the city, Lester said.
