Camilla to close Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia

  • Following the label’s two year break from showing at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia, Camilla is set to make quite the return with IMG announcing the Australian brand will be closing the schedule of shows with the presentation of its resort ’19 collection at Sydney’s Carriageworks on May 17. The bohemian-inspired brand, boasting 19 Australian boutiques and over 500 international stockists, will also open the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Weekend Edition with its Mercedes-Benz Opening Showcase on May 18—where attendees and consumers will have the pleasure of enjoying the ultimate fashion-week experience, viewing the shows from the front-row. “We’re excited to return to the MBFWA stage with our best collection to-date and the honour of closing the 2018 event. In Camilla world, there is no such thing as a modest show, we are theatrical by nature and always unexpected. We’ve set the bar high in the past with llamas in Centennial Park and African choirs on Sydney Harbour—and this year’s show will take us even higher,” says the label’s founder, Camilla Franks.

Harrolds has launched Heron Preston’s first womenswear collection in an exclusive pop-up created by the designer himself. Both Harrolds’ Sydney men’s and Melbourne flagship stores have welcomed the pop-up, one that echo’s Preston’s signature style, with the brand’s spring/summer ‘18 men’s and womenswear collections available for purchase. The collection, titled Show House, features Preston’s ready-to-wear pieces, alongside a selection of bags, accessories and hats. The most in demand and highly anticipated item on offer is however, is a limited-edition bag—the product of a collaboration between Preston and Virgil Abloh designer's label, Off-White. Sure to sell out in record time—as most of the designer’s collaborations do—the bag, which is available in two sizes, is surrounded by a clear PVC outer-shell encompassing an orange and white pouch, completed with Off-White’s iconic stripe and the word 'Collaboration' printed across the front. Harrolds is the collaboration’s exclusive Australian stockist and the pop-up set to be open for only a limited amount of time—so you’d better get in quick.Read more at:short prom dresses | long prom dresses
