At least four people have been killed after a device blew up inside a passenger van in the Kenyan capital of Nairobi, officials told Reuters. Further people have been injured, although the number remains unclear. The minibus was traveling to the city center, and officials believe an improvised explosive device was the source of the blast. The attack appears to be the first in Nairobi since the deadly terrorist assault on a city mall in September in which dozens were killed. Terrorist attacks in the country have been on the rise since Kenya sent military personnel to Somalia to take on the Al Qaeda linked Islamist rebel group al Shabab.
