The new opinions they provide you after a very long

Another method is having an amiibo/getting blessed and having a Animal Crossing Items new villager camp in your island. It's a modest cheaty though. When you eventually persuade them (after hours of enjoying that frickin card game) and they ask to kick out someone, keep reloading the game (go to the dash without causing the dialogue and shut the game without saving) until they suggest the one that you need . If I am not making sense, you will find guides online that explain this better than me

Not positive if you understand so that I hope this suggestion will help, but the simple procedure for transferring people out is that every two weeks, a random villager is going to have the cloud bubble over their mind and will ask to move out. If you find the cloud over someone you wish to keep's mind, do not talk to them! The bubble will not be on them another day but it will not restart the two week cycle. 1-3 days later another random villager will be selected to possess the move out bubble. Just continue leaving them thinking (don't speak to them at all the day) until it randomly picks the one that you want to move out.

Alternatively, do speak to the villager you want and let them know you do not need to leave. They won't request to depart again for a very long time and somebody else will ask to leave 5+ days later. It definitely feels dull. The villagers are obviously having an existential crisis and are having deep ideas about their place on the planet and you just encounter like"Nah" and immediately they're fine it's accurate but so sad. I remember seeing the trailers for New Horizons and believing that the villagers would be doing a lot more than previously, like moving around smelling flowers and playing with your furniture. The actual game is pretty gimmicky about it, however. The villagers are nowhere near as lively as New Leaf even when they can technically do more.

The new opinions they provide you after a very long absence are occasionally pretty considerate, as well.

It's always alright! They are constantly surprised to see you after however long for your first dialog, then it is back to how it was before you moved away. They do not become mad or threaten to leave or anything, iirc they simply mention it has cheap Animal Crossing Bells been x months and they missed seeing you around or something similar.Nothing harsh. Largely messages about not having seen you, having missed one, or wondering how you have been. Positive feel-good stuff, like practically everything else that they say!
