So for people who don't understand what RuneScape Private Servers are,it is a clone of RuneScape gold.sometimes it adds custom things some make xp faster,etc.. I've done my research and found out most of OSRS gamers are not that much okay with RuneScape personal servers. And to further complete my study I decided to post a reddit post and see exactly what people's opinions are. As the other post said I would trust most of them. Just private server I admire is the rs classic one because the main game is gone.
What do you mean by the rs classic one.And since I said previously stated I haven't been hacked. But if you genuinely care for yours then I'dont actually advocate. I guess there's trustable private servers out there, I have not looked to them for years since I'm perfectly fine with standard osrs. However there also have been numerous crappy ones employed for intend that was incorrect. There's a personal server for RS classic which fills a market since Jagex closed their classic servers like two decades ago.
I am fine with it. They usually offer gamemodes. It is on Jagex they don't offer an authentic 2007-scape (or RSC), somebody else will benefit. The main game(s) would be the highest quality and ensure that you the longevity and security of your accounts, so they are definitely still worth the cost. Obviously, it's illegal because of copyright (they just copy the whole match ), but I do think personal servers are consumer-friendly and forces jagex to be more consumer oriented, they probably helped in forcing them to create OSRS at the first place. So I'll allow you to be your own judge on if the copyright abuse is justified.
Most personal servers are backdoored or keep your data, being emails, usernames and passwords in plain text. You ought to stay away from them constantly. I am not advocating going into RSPS.And I'm not condoning using it but I've been enjoying several RSPS for decades and I have not got a single time hacked. But if you're really worried about your information, then I shouldn't advise you to try out them. I'd recommend you to register up to some random RSPS with a random email and check back the exact same email adress a month afterwards. It'll be full of spam and Jagex phishing mails. Their information is sold by almost every RSPS.
I have done this, actually I have lots of spare emails and tbh I do not check my inbox which far so I would doubt if I discover any phishing links. I used to enjoy personal servers, since I could not stand the grind on rs2 ax I had been constantly f2p and my parents never paid for membership. I like the mill and also feel like a private server would be a waste of my time. It is like using cheat codes in a game, whenever you do, you become tired of it immediately. That's a fact, but sometimes you cant only spend a big part of cheap RS gold your time just to train some amounts.
