What truth? Franchise has been shit until Mut 20 coins was something. Franchise went to shit when EA and the NFL signed an exclusivity deal. No competition = no motive to enhance substantial aspects of your game. MUT makes a lot of money and lots of people play with it, but don't act like it is taking development time from franchise as it obviously isnt't. The true truth is Madden Franchise mode was shit way before MUT was a thing and EA is 100% to blame because they got idle the second they didn't need to compete with 2K. Pretty certain Madden 05 for PS2/Xbox has been.
I don't play games. Perhaps I have grown out of these, however I love sports and worry about the days of this fun sports games from when I was a kid (nearly 28 now). Call it nostalgia punking me when there were multiple gambling titles in each game but I adored it. Madden 17 was the first Madden I skipped. 18 was bought by me as it had been discounted because it felt so empty, but I barely touched it.
Madden 19 was the Madden I played over any of those in the previous seven decades, but still... it just felt so damn empty so far as depth is concerned. I tried playing MUT. Do not waste a cent but ah,y'understand how opportunity costs go. I spent way too long grinding in it, and time is money. I guess I might have been squandering the time doing something else.
It just feels like the year to buy Madden 20 coins year differences are minimal and far & few between. I know folks like to say that NFL 2K5 was not as great as the'collective' nostalgia is making it out to be, but I LOVED the depth in that game.
