As someone who had to give up playing classic as a result of insufficient time, it has its own flaws, since it's a very old game now, but it did a lot right too. It did not have a ton of throwaway pieces. Everything in classic has been basically required, so as to WOW TBC Gold function somewhere else in classic. I have not really seen a game with systems that incorporated since then.
Meanwhile, I have not gotten any new expansions because legion. Why? Since the game keeps chugging along, but I do not feel like it's enhanced. I didn't even enjoy Legion that far. It was fine, but I was not excited. Hilariously, I loved MoP, since I loved the unwanted stuff (but not a great deal of the dailies).
I really don't think any expansion since MOP really improved on the match. It is basically the same game it's been for quite a while, but using a difficult to swallow narrative (I sort of lost track of exactly what happened after MoP,) new zones, and some surface level material switched around and discarded after the previous expansion. If anything, it prevents gaining problems and plot holes.
At the conclusion of the day, is that worth the $15 per month and expansion expenses? No, Particularly when there are lots of fantastic PC games that are not just more affordable, but higher quality, have lots of gameplay hours, also have a complete experience included with the one time cost?
I feel you. I get actual nostalgic for a few wow but then cheap WOW Classic TBC Gold read up on the current xpac and choose against it. I quested a little in the xpac afterwards but got pissed at times questing zones (I can't play my buddy now since hes 1 pursuit ahead wut? Occasionally I feel like I should've sold my account at summit cata days where I had like 5 max level characters with heroic raid gear pieces...
