Why do people insist on revenants instead of PKers?

Why do people insist on revenants instead of PKers? If anything, revenants are more bothersome since they will be runescape 2007 gold patrolling all of the Wilderness 24/7 and murdering everyone indiscriminately. Nowadays, unless you're at a hot place like warbands or lava wyrms it is uncommon to see a PKer. In case revenants are as tough as everyone seems to believe they are (which they are not ), the Wilderness will be a hundred times more frustrating for skillers.Isn't it unbalanced to have a strong but periodic and restricted pvp hazard like pkers than weaker but regular and omnipresent pvm risks such as jelqing? Since it's pointless for pkers to search there, Never have I ever got pked at the camp shop. Revs would make a threat that is much better than pkers can't supply.

People today moan about becoming PK'erectile dysfunction in the wilderness because they never come prepared, and why do you? That is countless gold, and hundreds of hours worth of gear you are hauling out to the wild, and risking permanently losing in a fight that could be over in 30 minutes. Double regain price in wildy, half it has dropped to the PKer if you're killed, none of all your items are lost (excluding maybe items earned in the wildy, like Rev drops, but that's up to Jagex). That alone could resolve a good deal of what's wrong in the wildy, I would be more prepared to bring gear to defend myself with when I knew I was not going to lose it all if I died, and instead only pay 2x the recover cost.

Of course, that's only the start. OSRS always tries to maintain a balance in their PvP, things become substituted, drop values/reclaim costs become adjusted all of the time. This needs to happen for the PvP of RS3. Adjusting ability damage numbers in PvP compared to what they're in PvM would be big, and placing more variety to the PvP and damage reduction stat could even revive some old content. If something such as Zuriels was more effective in PvP than even Elite Tectonic, then it'd permanently have a role in runescape, adding diversity. And the danger is still there. PvP at OSRS is about benefit and risk. If you see somebody wielding some fairly expensive things, you need to kill them (and rather smite them, but good luck) since the payout is enormous. With the death mechanic that is recover, it's still exactly the same. Someone bringing a ZGS + complete equipment to the wildy is drop a LOT of money on passing, and they're probably worth attempting to kill, even when they outclass you in gear. That's just how it is.

You can't deny they're a big part of PvP in RS2 and OSRS, although I am not entirely against them coming back. Everyone jumps on the"eliminate PvP" bandwagon but I only find that to be a missed opportunity. MMOs are all about collaboration AND contest. We have tons of that initial one, however, an ever decreasing amount of the moment. Rebelancing PvP in it's entirety could reestablish dead minigames (Soul Wars used to be quite great xp, but was also fun to how to make money on runescape old school participate in, currently it's more frustrating than anything else) and give Jagex opportunities to introduce Tournaments and events like OSRS does, or like RS3 used to do (Anyone recall WE2? This shit was a burst, but it'd be dead at this time.)
