But when EA Sports trots out an older goat and Mut 22 coins a young goat in its teaser,, it's difficult not to think of Brady and Mahomes. Both quarterbacks have been featured on the Madden NFL Cover before, with Brady being featured for Madden NFL 18, and Mahomes being the next to do it for Madden NFL 20. The combination could be monotonous yet it's an excellent idea. It seems like they were featured on the cover minutes before. Given that they went toe to toe in the previous Super Bowl, however, it's timely.
Madden NFL was once a regular feature on Nintendo platforms. However, it has been more than a decade since the release of Madden NFL 13 on Wii U. EA previously stated that they won't be release it on the Switch in 2018. However, a job listing recently stated that Madden could be finally coming to Switch.
This revelation comes from YouTuber Doctre81 who came across a listing titled "Online Software Engineer (C++) (C+) -- Madden" and dates back to November 2020. For the requirements of the job the job description, there is a section that asks for two years of experience with "Microsoft, Sony or Nintendo gaming consoles". While it might not appear like much, previous EA job descriptions didn't mention Nintendo in their selection criteria.
At the very minimum, EA could be investigating an eventual release. It's worth noting that back in June, EA confirmed it would release seven Switch games in the 12-month time frame. There are six confirmed games in June 2020, which includes Apex Legends that was revealed earlier this week.
It's left one more to go, but given the schedule of Madden's annual releases, EA could potentially be waiting until the release of Madden NFL 22 - - as rather than the Madden NFL 21 port - since cheap Madden 22 coins they typically release in August. Let's hope it's not another classic edition.
