Why you should participate in recycling

  • February 5, 2017

As our technology advances every day, we are all the more susceptible to using materials that are readily disposable. May it be in the water bottles that we use or the diapers our moms would use for their babies, we could almost say that most of the things we use every day are disposable and thus, these things are adding up to the pile of our every day garbage.

When you throw your garbage out on the streets for pick up you would not normally notice how this garbage would pile up at the disposal area. Much to our unawareness, the trash that we have adds up every day leading us to be more prone to giving danger to our natural environment. We can make a petition or produce the best writing paper out there, but the best thing we can do for our environment is to manage how we throw out our trash. Or better yet, recycle materials that can be re-used in the long run, in the months and years to come.

When we recycle, we participate in transforming these disposable materials into items that we can use at home instead. I once saw a recycling project that turns plastic bottles into blankets that can be used in relief sites. What a great way to use those bottles!
